Last week, the annual trade fair China International Import Expo (CIIE) took place again in Shanghai, representing an important opportunity for international brands and companies to promote their products and favoring international trade and economic cooperation.

Launched in 2018 by the Chinese government, it is still a fundamental reality for international trading, and it became one of the main platforms for foreign businesses to showcase their products and services and enter the Chinese market. But not just that: it’s also a great opportunity for event agencies in Asia – and not only – to offer a top-notch delivery.

CIIE, EVENT MANAGEMENT AND VOK DAMS CHINA

The layout of a trade fair is common to many: a multitude of booths fill big halls, allowing guests to explore different worlds at the same time. It then became mandatory to conceive and deliver a fully functional booth, from design to experience; not only it needs to be eye-catching but also provide informative knowledge through fun and interactive stations. In short, visitors need to remember the brand and the experience they had.

Companies therefore seek for local or international event management agencies to reach this goal and engage the best way possible with visitors of any range, from consumers to companies and government agencies.

As an event management agency based in China – not only Shanghai, but also Beijing and Hong Kong -, also VOK DAMS China operated on-site at CIIE this year.

2024 marks the 4^th year in a row where our event planning agency supports a foreign business at CIIE. In this edition, Puma was seeking for a local event management agency to support them in creating what it turned out to be a multifunctional booth. Thanks to our extended expertise in booth designs and execution, while also being extremely familiar with the CIIE fair, we proudly delivered a one-for-the-books experience.

Among other duties, VOK DAMS China was responsible for the overall event management, onsite execution and booth design.

OUR PAST IN CIIE

In past editions, VOK DAMS China has been entrusted by Volkswagen Group China with the task of designing and producing a large booth uniting various brands and department seamlessly.

Last year’s challenge involved creating a unified visual direction while respecting each brand’s identity, and at the same time presenting a meticulously designed booth layout, complete with a stage area, show car space, back-office area and more. Being an experienced event planning company, VOK DAMS China executed the large booth greatly, offering a cutting-edge design while meeting client’s expectations.
